Buying a horse – detecting less obvious problems

My horse was an eleven year old, 16.1hh TB x mare who I purchased from a dealer. She had a lovely temperament, was friendly in the stable – was a real sweetheart and I fell for her personality and temperament immediately. This “smitten state” meant that I was willing to overlook certain things, such as her poor thoroughbred feet. Now, I am an experienced horse person who is all too well aware of the famous adage “no foot, no horse” but here I was willing to overlook this little flaw, (after all I wasn’t looking for a top competition horse). I figured that these four feet of hers might be flat, exhibit low heels and long toes but they had managed to do the job of supporting her body perfectly well for the last eleven years so they couldn’t be that bad! I saw them young

The Beximco Asian Youth cup in December, 1989, gave me the chance to take an early look at some of the best young cricket talent in South Asia. Despite the absence of Sachin (he along with Mushtaq and Aaqib of Pakistan were involved in the main Pak India series), there were plenty of available on view.

The Indian top order included two extremely talented batsmen, right handed opener Ajay Jadeja and left handed No.3 Vinod Kambli. Vinod missed out in the opening fixture against Bangladesh at Mymensingh, but then scored 35 against Pakistan, 33 against SL and 46 in the final, also against SL. Even in slow turning tracks, Kambli didn’t face any problems in executing his flowing drives through the off-side. The only problems seemed to be with his temperament and also with his running between the wickets; he twice ran himself out. Kambli would impress the Bangladeshi crowd again in Dec. 1992, with the Indian ‘A’ team. Then, in 1993, he would reach dizzy heights with successive test double hundreds in test matches against England and Zimbabwe, plus couple of hundreds against SL, before things fell apart completely. Newspapers – The Cheapest Source of latest news

The newspaper is certainly the cheapest source of information for the common man. It cannot be denied that it gives rise to new ideas, collects the latest news from around the globe and at times trains the common man to think and discuss. For instance, the world today is extremely curious about India news since India is one of the fastest-developing nations in the world and plays a key role in world politics and economy. On the other hand Indians, we may say, are highly interested in world sport news since there are many games like Formula One, wrestling and others that are not played in this country.

We may say that today we are living in a newspaper culture. Whether in English or other languages, almost all of us read some newspaper or the other. The chief topic of general interest amongst the Latest News is no doubt, politics. But there are other matters of sectional interest also like local scoops, shares and equity, film news, music reviews and world sports news.

Shahid Afridi the Pakistani cricket star was given a spectacular welcome late last Sunday as the viewers gathered in Sharjah Cricket Stadium; Shahid Afridi had a silence flash to replicate on his day’s work which saw him maneuver his squad to a dubious triumph in the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka, finalizing the series in the process. By his own computation, Afridi placed his presentation within a specific circumstance – that of a man who had something to prove and brought pride to Pakistan cricket team.

At this period in his profession, Shahid Afridi is way ahead of confirming his importance to any team enclosing 10 men who play in the order of him. Afridi’s fastidious traits have always been complicated to classify or enumerate in uncomplicated words or figures, even although enough verification subsist in either form to endeavor such estimation.
